I am so behind on posting recent sessions here…things have been so busy. This session is special for so many reasons and I don’t know where to begin honestly. A little over a year ago I met a special couple…they were expecting their first baby, baby Georgia, and we met for a pre-session consultation at the studio before they booked their Baby Portrait plan. I kind of fell in love with them instantly …they were the sweetest couple, beaming with excitement about their baby girl and I felt so honored to capture this journey into parenthood for them.
Soon after, we scheduled their maternity photo shoot and brought mom in the studio for complimentary hair and makeup prior to the photo shoot. Again, she was bubbling over with joy for this moment and that joy was so contagious. She was beyond excited to become a Mommy and I knew she would be an amazing one! We captured dreamy maternity portraits for them, you may remember us sharing some of her gorgeous maternity portraits on the blog, she is featured on the front page of our website as well and on a large canvas in the studio. To say I adore her maternity portraits is an understatement.
Not much longer after her maternity photo shoot, little baby Georgia decided to make her surprise debut! So tiny and so beautiful…we were so delighted to meet her. Mom and I had been planning the details of her custom styled newborn photo shoot since the moment we met! We pulled together so many beautiful portrait ideas, making our visions come to reality … you may recall us sharing her peach styled newborn portraits, her Mommy & me portraits where we matched one of mom’s maternity gowns and coordinated it to the colors of baby’s newborn photos for a special maternity to newborn capture, her beautiful Mom & Me newborn portraits and her coordinated newborn nursery portraits as well. Her newborn photo shoot was stunning!
We captured many milestones throughout baby’s first year, including a themed Christmas photo shoot, a themed winter photo shoot in the studio, family portraits and so much more, but the big finale was the cake smash. Mom and I coordinated details on this cake smash for months. I literally ordered this peach backdrop several months in advance, knowing it would be the perfect addition to baby Georgia’s peachy cake smash. Mom brought along a few peach themed outfits that we captured in front of the peach backdrop prior to the cake smash, we have featured a few of those below. We also captured outdoor photos, family photos, and more studio images PLUS the cake smash. I love to make the most of one year photo shoots and provide a ton of variety in these special memories. So stay tuned for lots of one year birthday goodness to come…
Mommy also brought along this custom white romper with an embroidered peach and her name “Georgia Mae” … isn’t she jus the cutest!!!
