Timeless, beautiful, organic baby fine art portrait photography is something we are known for in the Burlington, Greensboro, Chapel Hill, Winston Salem areas of North Carolina. We specialize in maternity, newborn and baby’s first year of photography and that makes all the difference.
We are often approached by others about working with babies. New photographers always have a lot of questions about baby portraiture. There is so much to discuss about this subject, but we will share a piece of the puzzle today.
We have dedicated years in our career to working with babies, attending classes, workshops, seminars and countless hours of research about babies. I can tell you our clients know two things about our studio: safety first and baby is boss. Safety is so important in working with babies of all ages…so important we will be offering a class in the near future about this subject. Safety is always at the forefront in everything we do. If you know me well, you know I am extremely analytical, and that helps analyze all situations when working with baby to ensure all is safe and well throughout your photo shoot.
Secondly, baby is boss in our studio, we work around baby’s needs in the studio…sometimes baby may need a diaper change, a snack, or just some cuddles, whatever the need…we put that first. A comfy baby is a happy baby and we want to capture baby’s happy moments.
There is so much that goes into crating a custom portrait session. So much planning of every detail before clients even arrive at the studio. Then, so much technical skill to capture the right exposure, lighting, angle, etc… and so much more to process the images after they are captured. All of these things and so much more go into each and every session we produce, and I can honestly say it’s a labor of love.
I absolutely love this job and feel so blessed to have a job I adore. It isn’t for everyone; I can’t even begin to tell you the countless hours I work each day/week or how I pour my heart and soul into every client, every session, and also into the studio (from decorating to cleaning to designing to inventory…so much time and energy). Again, this would feel impossible if I didn’t enjoy this job, so I am so grateful that I do!
I also have a team of talented staff that love what they do too, from newborn assistants to hair and makeup stylists to graphic designers and post production staff, they each have great talent and a passion for what they do. I have learned over the years to employ the best of the best because it makes all the difference.
So this is a little piece of the puzzle when it comes to working with babies. We are so grateful to be entrusted with the honor of capturing beautiful memories for each and every client.
