Our high school senior portrait sessions have been in full gear since early summer and they never disappoint. We met this brilliant, handsome young man and his mom for an urban photo shoot last week. We toured many city streets, alleys and more to capture unique and fun senior portraits for his family to cherish. and speaking as a mom of a 2020 graduate myself, cherish is exactly the word that comes to mind when I think of senior portraits.
All too soon, our graduates will be moving onto their next adventure … college. Often that means moving away from home and while that may be a natural part of the cycle of adulthood, it sometimes leaves a huge hole to fill in a parent’s world. Even more reason why these memories will be cherished. Not just the gorgeous albums, canvases and wall art pieces, but also the entire experience. It will be a fond memory to hold onto in the midst of this season of change.
I have told all of my senior moms this year - I completely understand the emotional rollercoaster this senior year becomes to mommas. My heart has been twisted in so many directions as I prepare for days to come … the tears began over the summer as I realized we were approaching the senior year. Letting go is so hard, but I know it is the next step of the process … hang in there mommas, we are all in this together.
