We are back to work after a wonderful time away on family vacation. We were away longer than normal and did at least one big activity each day, the days and nights were packed with fun and entertainment, but my favorite time was our last night in Charleston.
What began as disappointment turned to the best night of the trip. Rain fell and changed everything. After waiting an hour to exit an island town, we decide to spend the evening in Charleston. We quickly learned that Charleston is below sea level as the roads flooded that evening after a rainy day. We found ourselves literally in flooded streets (a little scary-the water was pretty high and I was praying our van would be able to navigate through the flood waters - and thankfully, it did). After trying many detours throughout Charleston, we found all roadways were under water so we decided to turn around and head back, changing our plans for a night in Downtown Charleston.
We visited a local store and purchased a few games and dinner, then headed back for an impromptu family game night ... we laughed (until we cried...have you ever laughed that hard?) until the wee hours of the night playing Uno and Boggle.
As we headed to bed for the night at 2am, I told my husband that was my favorite night. We are all far from perfect - but I do love our little family. Spending time away with the 3 people who are my entire world was so fun and refreshing. We are blessed with good children, not perfect, but good , so full of love and so funny!
So we are back to work and looking at our calendar, there are many sweet babies on the way. We have had a few early arrivals, so it has opened up a little wiggle room to squeeze in a few more due dates in July, so contact us if you are interested in booking a newborn portrait session.
